Approximately 24,000 kids age out of foster care each year

Of those, within 2-4 years, 40% will experience homelessness

Domestic Abuse Victims

On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the US. More than 10 million adults in the US experience domestic violence annually.

1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have been injured by an intimate partner.

Women between the ages of 18-24 are those most commonly abused by an intimate partner.

Intimate partner violence accounts for 15% of all violent crime.

Those in Recovery

Almost 50,000 people die every year from opioid overdose.

Over 10 million people misuse opioids in a year.

Opioids are a factor in at least 7 out of 10 overdose deaths.

Every day, 385 Americans die as a result of excessive alcohol use.

Justice Involved

600,000 people are released from incarceration every year.

Formerly incarcerated people are 10 times more likely to be homeless.

Stable housing is the foundation of successful reentry from prisons and jails and to public safety.

Returning citizens for whom safe and affordable housing is inaccessible often experience a downward spiral and increases their risk of recidivism.

Only with safe, affordable housing do returning citizens have the foundation necessary to secure and maintain a job, access health care, and pursue an education.

Eligibility Requirements

Willing to live free from drugs and alcohol including THC/CBD.

Cost is $200 per week

One time intake fee of $250

Must agree to a drug test upon entry and random drug tests thereafter.

Willing to share a room with another resident.

Prescription medications must be kept in a personal safe
provided by The S.H.A.R.E Foundation.
